Semester IX | Location: Nahal Kishon Park, Haifa, Israel
The project is a rowing club and sustainability center between two major cities and near a river and sea. The site is surrounded by nature. For years the area
suffered from severe infections from the nearby industrial area. After a decade of water purification, the park opened to visitors. Following the climate changes
and globalization, the project explores how humans and nature can live in symbiotic harmony. Building can’t be only for humans. Therefore in this buildings man
gives habitats to nature and animals to grow. Nature gives man the peace he is looking for in today’s globalization and fast-paced world. The structure integrate into
its surroundings, it is invisible and visible at the same time. The bilding has walkable green roofs that allow people to cross during a walk in the park. The building
communicates with the environment and strengthens man’s connection to nature.
