This is a multi-species planting strategy inspired by principles of landscape ecology and responding to the local conditions of the site. The strategy is following principles of landscape ecology “3- 30 -300 rule for urban forestry” by Cecil Konijnendijk. It responds to the local conditions of three focusing areas. During the research, we identified the challenges: isolation, interruption, and limitation. Following that, we explored how to protect and enhance the remaining ecological areas. And, how to define the borders of the city. We answered these questions with various methods including filtering ecological edge, connecting green areas, and developing green areas.
